Terms of use

What you agree to by using BravoPin, what we do and do not check, what happens to what you write, and where our responsibility ends.

Last updated 9 October 2026.

The short version

You may read boards and write on them without an account. What you write is yours and you are responsible for it. We check every message automatically before it appears, we do not read boards ourselves, and we can remove anything or close any board.

The service is free unless you have accepted an order form for a paid plan, and it is provided as it is. Everything on it is deleted within at most 48 hours by design, so it is not a place to keep anything. The sections below say all of that properly, and using the service means you agree to them.

Who we are, and who this is for

BravoPin is run by Anatoli Iliev, an individual based in Bulgaria, and “we”, “us” and “our” mean him; BravoPin is the name of the service and not a company. His postal address will be published here before card payments open; until then, contact@bravopin.com and the contact form at /contact reach him directly.

BravoPin is not directed at children under 13, and you may not use it if you are under 13. We may close an account or a board we reasonably believe belongs to somebody under 13. You must be 18 or over to make an account. We may close an account we reasonably believe belongs to somebody under 18.

Reading a board, writing on one, voting, joining one and reporting something all need no account. Making a board and running it needs one, and if you make a board these terms apply to you twice over: once as somebody using the service, and once as somebody running a board other people write on.

Making an account, or paying for a plan, means accepting these terms as they stand on that day.

Private boards, and when you need an arrangement

One place of your own is free — a bar, a restaurant, a café or a shop can put a board in its own room and start tonight. More than one place, sponsors, or a board you run for somebody else needs an arrangement with us first: write to us and we will sort it out.

A wedding, a birthday, a house party, a dinner, a leaving do, a family gathering, two flats running one party in two cities — all of that is personal use and none of it needs to ask us anything.

These are the uses that need an arrangement first:

  • More than one place — a chain, a group, or several rooms under one name.
  • A conference, a trade show, a ticketed event, or anything with sponsors.
  • A board you run for a client, or as part of work you are paid for.
  • A board used to promote, advertise or sell anything beyond the room it is in.

If any of that is what you want, write to contact@bravopin.com or use the contact form and say what you have in mind. We answer. Running a board commercially without an arrangement is a breach of these terms, and we may suspend or delete the board.

What you may write, and what you are responsible for

One line at a time, up to 160 characters unless the board you are writing to says otherwise, meant kindly. That is the whole of the positive request.

What is not allowed is narrower and firmer: nothing illegal, nothing that threatens or targets anybody, nothing sexual involving children, nothing that publishes another person’s private information, and nothing promoting terrorism. Nor anything that infringes somebody else’s rights, or that you do not have the right to post.

You are responsible for everything you write, and by posting you confirm you have the right to post it. You do not need an account to write, which means we usually have no way of knowing who wrote what — that is by design, and it does not make anything above optional or transfer the responsibility to us.

A prize on a board is the venue’s own: the venue decides who may enter and who wins, and hands over the prize. We do not.

What you allow us to do with what you write

By posting a message you allow us to store, copy, cache, transmit and display it as far as running the service requires — which includes sending it to the providers who run the automatic check described below, the cached copy a board is served from, fitting it to a screen without changing its words, and a share link if you create one. That permission lasts as long as we hold the message under these terms and the privacy policy — on the board, and in the few records the privacy policy lists, such as a prize’s entries or a message held because it appeared to threaten somebody’s safety — and ends when the last of those is deleted.

What we may not do with it is the part that matters: we publish it on the board you posted it to and, if that board is public, on the public web, which includes showing a public board live, as it is, on our own website, such as our front page. We do not license your words to anybody, we do not sell them, we do not use them to advertise, and we do not put them anywhere you did not post them.

You keep whatever rights you had in what you wrote. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything to us.

What we check, and what we do not

Every message is checked automatically before it appears. Nothing is reviewed by a person before publication, and there is no queue and no waiting: the check takes a moment and then the message either goes up or does not.

There are up to three checks, and which of them run depends on the board:

  • An illegal-content check runs on every message on every board, always. Nobody can turn it off, configure it, or set it aside — not a board owner, and not us.
  • A tone check runs on what guests write on public boards. It is what keeps a public board positive, and it can refuse a message for being unkind rather than for being illegal. Lines an owner puts up in the board’s name — house lines, prize banners, announcements, polls and quizzes — get the illegal-content check only.
  • On a private board there is NO tone check unless its owner switches one on. With it off, a private board has the illegal-content check and nothing above it. If you make a private board, you are the only thing standing between your room and whatever somebody decides to type on it — which is why you get controls for pausing it, hiding a message and moderating from your own phone.
  • A board owner may also choose what gets through: a ready-made set of rules, boxes they tick, or rules of their own. The rules an owner chooses apply while the board’s tone check is on, and only the owner’s switch turns that check on. Links, @names, email addresses and phone numbers are refused before any check, whatever the switch says, unless the owner lets them through; and so is any word the owner has marked to block always.

If a message is refused you are told so straight away, you keep what you typed, and you can change it and try again immediately. A refusal is not a decision about you, and there is no appeal against it: the resubmission is the route. You can always write to us at contact@bravopin.com, and nothing here stops you going to court.

If a message reads as though somebody may be in danger, it is not published and the person who wrote it is shown places that can help instead. That happens on every board of either kind.

The checks are automated and use AI models run by other companies, and they can be wrong in both directions: they may refuse a message that breaks no rule, and let through one that does. A message getting through is not our approval of it, and a refusal is not a finding that you did anything wrong.

We host what other people write; we do not undertake to monitor boards, and we are not obliged to. The checks run before publication and not after, and they are not a warranty that anything on any board is lawful, accurate, kind or suitable for you. On the boards we run ourselves, some lines are generated by AI, with made-up names, and some of the votes on them are ours too; where an owner asks us to fill a board for them, the lines we fill it with are written by us or generated by AI; none of these is marked line by line. We do not endorse what other people write on a board and we do not adopt it as our own. When we learn of illegal content, through a report or otherwise, we act on it — see below.

If you see something wrong

Anyone can report anything, with no account and without being on the board it came from: the form at /notice takes a notice from any individual or any organisation. It is our notice-and-action mechanism under the EU Digital Services Act, and it is also our point of contact for that Act — written notices reach us at contact@bravopin.com. You can write to that point of contact, and send a notice, in English, Bulgarian, German, French or Polish.

You will be told what we decided. A board owner hiding a message on their own board is a different thing entirely and is not a decision on a report: it is an owner tidying their own room, and it carries no finding about the message or about whoever wrote it. The same is true of a moderator, or somebody holding a staff link, hiding a message.

Nothing here is kept

A message on a board lives between 45 minutes and 24 hours by default. Which of those it gets is decided by how busy the board is — a busy board makes room for new lines faster — and votes buy a message more time where there is any left to buy. A board owner can move both ends of that, and the longest anybody can set is 48 hours.

Then the message is deleted. There is no archive, no profile, no history and no export, and no way for anybody, including us, to look up what you wrote — apart from the few records the privacy policy lists, and a line that entered a prize, which stays in that prize’s entries while it runs and for up to seven days after it ends, where the board’s owner and the moderators they named can read it, and is then deleted. Removing your own line does not remove a copy already entered in a prize; it goes with the entries. Boards go too: a public board is deleted 48 hours after the last message on it has gone, and a private board on the window its owner chose, with everything on it.

So this is a term and not advice: we are under no obligation to store, back up, preserve or restore anything, and you should not use the service as a record of anything. If something on a board matters to you, keep your own copy of it while it is there. Content that goes on its schedule, or because we removed it under these terms, is not a loss we answer for; anything else is covered under Where our responsibility ends.

If you run a board

Five things you promise us by making one:

  • You have the right to put a board wherever you put it, including any screen you project it onto and any place you invite people to it from, and you will comply with the law that applies where you do.
  • If you run a prize or any other promotion on it, you are its promoter and we are not. You set and own its rules — who may enter, the age limit, anything about alcohol — and the prize itself, and you publish those rules where entrants can read them before they enter, and you are responsible for running it lawfully wherever you run it. The standings our tool shows are an aid: you decide who has won. We provide the tool and are not a party to the promotion.
  • You will not use it commercially without an arrangement with us first.
  • You will not use it to collect anything from the people writing on it — not personal details, not sign-ups, not payments. The one exception is a prize claim, described below, which a guest makes by pressing the claim button themselves.
  • You will use what a claim shows you only to check and hand over that prize, and you will not copy, keep or use it for anything else.

You can let other people help you run a board. Name somebody by their email address — for one board, or for all of yours, including ones you make later — and when they sign in with that address they can hide a line, blank the board, stop new lines and vote lines up or down, and also run the board’s evening: start, end and delete a prize, put up announcements, run quizzes and polls, and see a prize’s entries and claims, including a claimant’s name and email address. They can also switch the screen to show only what they put on, which takes guests’ lines off it while it is on. They cannot open your settings or rules pages, or rename the board. We email that address once to tell them. Or you can share a staff link with a six-digit code: whoever holds both gets only the first four of those controls, for up to twelve hours at a time, until you replace or clear the code. You are responsible for whom you give either to.

If you run a prize, the lines that entered it are kept while it runs and for up to seven days after it ends, so it can be settled, and are then deleted; deleting the prize deletes them at once. Any guest who presses to claim a line, while the prize runs or in the day after it ends, is shown a code, which you and any moderator you have named by email address see beside their line; if they are signed in, you also see their name and email address.

You are responsible for what happens on your board, for who you invite to it, and for where you show it. If you show a board on a screen, in a venue or anywhere else, you choose the screen, where it is, who can see it and what is around it; we do not control any of that, and we are not responsible for the screen, the device or the connection showing it, or for whether showing it there complies with the rules that apply to that place.

If you use the service for a business — including a venue that shows a board — you will compensate us for, and defend us against, any claim by somebody else, and any fine and reasonable cost, including reasonable legal fees, that we incur, so far as it arises from: what you, your staff, or anybody you gave the board’s controls to put on the board; your breach of these terms; a promotion you run; how and where you show a board, including what your guests write while it is on your screen; or your use of what a prize claim shows you. We will tell you promptly about such a claim, let you take part in defending it, and not settle it in your name without your agreement.

If you are a consumer, you are responsible, as the law provides, for loss your breach of these terms causes us, including the reasonable cost of a claim brought against us because of unlawful content you put up or a promotion you ran.

What we may do

We may remove or hide any message, suspend or delete any board, and suspend or close any account, at once, where these terms are broken, where the law requires it, where we reasonably believe it is necessary to protect somebody, or to protect the service itself.

When we do that to something of yours and we have a way to reach you, we tell you what we did and why, at the latest when it takes effect, unless the law stops us. If you disagree, write to contact@bravopin.com; you can also go to court.

We may also close a free account or board for any other reason by telling the account holder at least 30 days before. If we close a paid board, or stop the service, without your having broken these terms, the part of the period you have paid for and not used is refunded.

We may change how the service works, add or withdraw parts of it, and stop running it. If a change makes a paid plan worse for you in more than a minor way, or we stop the service, we tell account holders at least 30 days ahead where we can, and you may cancel and have the unused part refunded. We can stop new messages across the whole service in under a minute if we have to, and sometimes we will have to.

None of that is a decision about you as a person, and none of it is a penalty. It is a service run by very few people, and those are the levers that keep it safe to leave running.

Advertising

Nothing shown on any board is an advertisement anybody has paid us for, and nothing about which messages are shown, how big they are or how long they last is influenced by payment. BravoPin shows its own name on free boards; that is us, not an advertiser. If that ever changes, this section will say so and every paid placement will be labelled as one.

What we do not warrant

The service is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not warrant that it will be available or uninterrupted, that it will be free of faults, that a message or a board will still be there at any particular moment, that it will meet your requirements, or that anything written on a board by somebody else is lawful, accurate or suitable for any purpose.

You are responsible for the device, the browser and the connection you use, and for anything anybody does on the service from them.

Where our responsibility ends

Some things cannot be excluded or limited, and these terms do not try to. Nothing in them excludes or limits our liability for harm we cause intentionally or through gross negligence, for death or personal injury caused by our fault, for fraud, or for anything else that the law that applies to you does not allow to be excluded or limited. If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your rights under mandatory consumer law.

What the service is. Messages and boards are deleted on the schedule described under Nothing here is kept, and that is what the service is for: a message that goes on time, or a board deleted on its schedule, is the service working and not a loss.

If you are a consumer, and subject to the first paragraph: we are liable for loss that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to take reasonable care. We are not liable for what another person writes or does on the service, for services other companies provide to you directly, such as Paddle’s checkout or Google’s sign-in, or for loss of profit, revenue or opportunity to a business of yours. Our total liability is limited to 100 euro for the free service, and for a paid plan to the greater of the price paid for that plan in the 12 months before the claim and 100 euro.

If you use the service for a business, and subject to the first paragraph: we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business, contracts, opportunity, goodwill or anticipated savings, for loss of data or content, or for any indirect or consequential loss, however it arises; and our total liability for all claims in any 12 months is limited to the greater of the price paid for the service in those 12 months and 100 euro, unless an order form sets another figure.

A paid plan on an order form is governed by that order form, which takes precedence over these terms wherever they differ, and is sold to businesses only. Anyone may pay by card: then the plan is sold to you by our reseller Paddle.com Market Limited, the seller of record, which takes the payment, issues your invoice and handles refunds and cancellations under its buyer terms at paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms, including a consumer’s right to cancel within 14 days. Our refund and cancellation policy is at /refunds.

Which law applies, and where disputes go

Bulgarian law governs these terms and any dispute about them or the service, apart from its rules on which country’s law applies.

If you are a consumer, that choice does not take away the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you usually live, which still apply to you. You may bring a claim against us in the courts of Bulgaria or of the country where you live, and we may bring one against you only in the courts of the country where you live. If you have a complaint, write to contact@bravopin.com first. If we cannot settle it, you can turn to the conciliation commissions of the Bulgarian Commission for Consumer Protection (kzp.bg), or, elsewhere in the EU, to the European Consumer Centre in your country; if you ask, we will tell you whether we will take part.

If you use the service for a business, the courts in Sofia, Bulgaria, have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.

The rest of the agreement

These terms, with the privacy policy, the refund policy and any order form you have accepted, are what governs your use of the service. If you use it for a business, they are the whole agreement between us about it and replace anything said before. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given up the right to enforce it later. Nobody other than you and us has rights under these terms.

You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours, and our obligations, to a company we control or to whoever takes over the service, provided your rights under these terms are not reduced; we tell account holders first, and you may close your account, with any unused paid period refunded, if you object.

We are not responsible for a failure or delay caused by events outside our reasonable control that we could not reasonably have avoided or worked around — such as a failure of the internet or of power, a failure of a provider the service depends on, an attack on the service, or an act of a public authority. While such an event lasts, the obligations it affects are suspended.

These terms are written in English, and the English text binds. Where we provide a translation and you are a consumer, you may rely on it if it is more favourable to you.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. If a change matters to account holders we email them at least 30 days before it applies, unless the law or somebody’s safety needs it sooner; if you do not accept it, you can close your account, or cancel a paid plan with the unused part refunded, before it applies. There is nowhere to email a reader, so a reader should check this page. The privacy policy is at /privacy.
